One inbox, read by the people who make the site
Everything reaches us at support@createmoreflow.com. It is the only address we publish and the only one we stand behind. Real editors read it, not a ticket queue and not a bot. We do not run a wall of per department aliases, because on a team this size they mostly become places where mail goes to be forgotten.
You will get to the right person faster if you put the purpose at the front of the subject line. CORRECTION, TIP, PITCH, ADVERTISING, or PRIVACY is all we need to route it. If your message is about a specific article, paste the link rather than retyping the headline, because two stories can share a headline and only one of them is the one you mean.
Corrections and complaints about coverage
If we have published something factually wrong, write with CORRECTION in the subject, include the link, and quote the exact sentence you are disputing. Names, figures, and dates are what we most often get wrong and what we most want to hear about. What happens after your mail arrives is set out in our corrections policy.
Complaints about framing, emphasis, or a headline you think is unfair go to the same inbox. Where we can, we hand those to an editor who had no part in the story. If you want a reply rather than an edit, say so, and you will get one even when the answer is that we stand by what we ran.
Story tips, including the confidential kind
Tips are among the most valuable mail we get. A document, a figure that does not add up, a decision being made quietly: send it, and tell us where and when you came across it and how you know it is real. The more specific you are about the source, the faster we can check it.
If sending something could put your job or your safety at risk, protect yourself first. Write from a personal account on a personal device, and make CONFIDENTIAL the first word of the subject so it is handled carefully from the start. We will reply to arrange a more secure channel before you send anything sensitive. We do not identify confidential sources to anyone, advertisers and lawyers included.
Pitches, press releases, and advertising
Freelance pitches are welcome, especially from people close to a story we cannot reach from a desk. Two or three short paragraphs is plenty: what the story is, who you can talk to, and roughly what it will cost. Press releases are fine as plain text in the body of the mail, and we do not open unsolicited attachments from senders we do not know.
Advertising, sponsorship, and partnership enquiries go to the same address with ADVERTISING in the subject, and they are handled on the business side, not by any desk that might cover you. What we sell and the categories we refuse are on our advertise page.
Privacy requests, legal notices, and reply times
For access to or deletion of your personal data, or any question about what our analytics and advertising partners collect, write with PRIVACY in the subject. The rights you hold are described in our privacy policy. If you need a postal route for a formal legal notice, ask, and we will provide one.
We deal with corrections the same day we read them and aim to answer everything else within two working days, which can stretch during a fast moving story. If a week goes by with no reply, resend, because mail does occasionally go missing. One last thing: we will never ask you to trust a social media account as ours. If an account claims to speak for CREATE MORE FLOW, check it against this inbox first.
