Terms of Service

The short version

These terms are the agreement between you and CREATE MORE FLOW for using this website. Reading the site means you accept them. We have written them to be read rather than skimmed with dread, but they are still the rules, and the parts about liability and law matter as much as the friendly bits at the top.

If you use the site on behalf of an organisation, you are telling us you have the authority to accept these terms for it. If you do not agree with something here, the honest answer is not to use the site, because we cannot offer it on different terms to different readers.

What we offer, and what we do not promise

We offer journalism and general information, free to read, published when it is ready and updated as stories develop. We try hard to keep the site accurate, available, and secure, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or always reachable. Servers fail, stories break faster than certainty, and a live report is a best current account, not a guarantee.

Nothing on this site is professional advice. The disclaimer spells this out in full, but the short form is that a news story about money, health, law, or technology is reporting, not advice tailored to your situation. Decisions you make after reading are yours.

Your side of the deal

You may read, link to, and share our work within the bounds of normal use and the law. In return, you agree not to do the things that make running a site miserable for everyone else. In particular you agree not to:

  • break the law, or use the site to harm, harass, defame, or defraud anyone;
  • attack the site, whether by scraping at a scale that degrades it, probing for vulnerabilities, spreading malware, or trying to get around security or access controls;
  • post comments that are unlawful, abusive, hateful, deceptive, or spam, or that impersonate someone else;
  • copy or republish substantial parts of our content commercially without permission, which the intellectual property section below covers;
  • misrepresent your identity to obtain access, or use automated systems to harvest content or personal data.

We can suspend or block access, and remove comments, where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken. We would rather explain than ban, but a site nobody polices becomes unusable quickly.

Comments and anything you submit

If you post a comment or send us material, you keep ownership of it, and you grant us a non exclusive, royalty free licence to publish, store, and display it in connection with the site. You confirm the material is yours to share and does not break the law or someone else’s rights. We moderate, and we can edit or remove submissions, but moderation is not a promise to catch everything, and a comment is the view of the person who wrote it, not of CREATE MORE FLOW.

Do not send us confidential or sensitive material through public comments. If you have something that needs care, our contact page explains how to reach us privately.

Intellectual property

The articles, images we produce, layout, and branding on this site are owned by CREATE MORE FLOW or used with permission. You may read and share for personal, non commercial use, and quote briefly with credit and a link, which is how the open web is meant to work. Republishing whole articles, systematic copying, or any commercial reuse needs our written permission first. If you believe your own copyrighted work has been used here without authorisation, our DMCA and copyright policy tells you exactly how to raise it.

Links to other sites

We link out constantly, because good journalism shows its sources. A link is not an endorsement, and we do not control and are not responsible for other people’s sites, their content, or their privacy practices. Once you leave CREATE MORE FLOW, their terms and their privacy policy apply, not ours. Advertising links are the same: an advertisement is not a recommendation, as our advertise page makes clear.

Liability, in the plainest terms the law allows

The site and its content are provided on an as is and as available basis. To the fullest extent the law permits, we exclude the implied warranties that would otherwise apply, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss arising from decisions you took in reliance on our content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Where a mandatory consumer protection law gives you rights that override this section, those rights stand.

Changes, ending, and the law that applies

We may update these terms as the site changes, and the date below will move when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version, so it is worth a glance when you notice the date has changed. We may also change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site.

These terms are governed by the law of the place where the publication is established, and any dispute is subject to the courts there, without affecting mandatory rights you have as a consumer in your own country. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest still stands. Questions about these terms go to support@createmoreflow.com, and how we handle factual errors is separate and lives in our corrections policy.
